Southernmost point in Sri lanka. Also there a believe among locals this city is god's city. In sinhalease it's call "Devundara". This light house is the tallest one in Sri lanka and one of tallest in south Asia as well.

Dambulla Cave Temple - Sri Lanka

 Visit Dambulla Cave Temple

Dambulla cave temple was established in about 1st Century BC. Since Indian invaders our kingdom Anuradhapura was abandon by our king Walagamba at that moment. He wasn't had courage to fight against them. For about 12 years he was fighting against them while changing locations where he was living. Dambulla was one of a place he was and monks in this monastery were helped him. After the restoration of Anuradhapura kingdom, King Walagamba decided to build a temple here. 

There are 5 caves can visit and about 154 statues of buddha and 4 statues of kings. On the rock wall have many paintings about buddha's life story. But all these wasn't make by king walagamba. He have taken the start. But all historical information wasn't prove how much or how many he has done.

Visit Anuradhapura Ancient City

 Samadhi buddha statue in abhayagiri vihara complex. This statue has 3 emotion in the face. Peace, Happiness and Sadness are those. look at the statue from left, front and right can see this.

 Kuttam pokuna which has two ponds in a one place. At first build for the royal family and the the second one built for the monks of Abhayagiri vihara about in the 8th century. 

 Moonstone. one of a most beautiful creation of Abhayagiri vihara in Anuradhapura kingdom.
